In the first level you're attacked from enemies off screen several times. And the fact that enemies can block attacks but from what I could tell you can not just makes the game feel broken.. Honestíssimo! Merece 99 vidas. If you put the Scott Pilgrim game and Final Fight with generic as all hell characters into a blender you'd get this. Very fun, a little overly difficult and fun multiplayer.Oh, also... the music here is surprisingly good. Like really, really good. Definitley check this game out if you like beat em ups!!!. So. I'm starting to think people have a low threshold for what they believe is a good game.This plays like if you played Street Fighter 3rd Strike (Streets of Rage, Double Dragon) and then your friend came over and was like "hey man I got this new game for you. its just like street fighter."and the game he was referring to was Breakers Revenge (99Vidas)If that reference went over your head. what I'm saying is. this game is♥♥♥♥♥. 99Vidas bring us back to a classic game genre, the amazing beat ‘em up! Despite the fact that some of the new games of this genre come in a 3D platform, 99Vidas throw us back to the classical arcade. We have a good amount of characters to choose, and each has their own element, like fire, lightning, water and rock. The side scrolling movement, urban fights and pixel style sound like a good game to remember the classics. But it is not only a rescue of the past; it has its own features like upgrade purchases, characters to unlock and 3 types of game mode. 99Vidas is a great game for anyone who wants to remember the good old beat ‘em up.. Relaxa, a gente tem 99vidas...Otimo jogo, me lembrou bem os tempos dos arcades. It's pretty fun. Good art, and music.The enemies get a little repetitive though, you'll be seeing a lot of the same throught the levels. The bosses are decent, but can have little window to attack them, and even when you do attack, sometimes they don't get stunned. Co-op is fun, but double the enemies can make for a bit of a hassle, and can be hard to track.One problem that was very punishing for me is the fact that you can't get any lives once you start a new level. I got stuck on the final level with only 2 lives and couldn't get any more, resulting in me having to start over.However, I appreciate the Sega Genesis soundfont being used for the music, and the pixel art is very high quality. Overall, a fairly good game. Start with easy mode though. It gets tough.. A very good and well polished indie brazilian game. It can be challenging at times, but I haven't felt the challenge to be unfair. The boss mechanics may sometimes seem hard, but just as vintage beat'em up, it is a mater of understanding their patterns and working around them.If I had to critique something, it would be the length, yet the many characters and their peculiarities make up for that in replayability.9/10 Would buy again
